Only hang around people that are positive and make you feel good. Anybody who doesn’t make you feel good kick them to the curb and the earlier you start in your life the better. I feel the same way. Someone very dear and close to me in my family is openly gay and that does not undermine who he is in any way. He is an amazing human being. I totally agree we Anne Hathaway here that there is nothing “alternative” or progressive about my family’s way of thinking, it is just about love and the values that we have had instilled in us growing up. It really is not abut being “brave” is all about being a decent human being.
